When its competitors switched to touchscreen panels and started offering smart home features, so did CPI. First, it switched to the inTouch control panel, a tablet-like device with touchscreen controls, and then it added home automation and other smart features to its most luxurious monitoring packages. Through its Community Partnership Program, CPI donated more than $1 million to charitable organizations in 2018 and is on track to do the same in 2019. They also work closely with local police and sponsor both professional and amateur sports teams to keep their name visible in the community.

“We also worked with design firms to get ideas about what is modern and what others are doing, not just at security monitoring centers, but any call centers. The sign-up process for CPI Security was fairly straightforward. First, we spoke with a sales rep on the phone to learn about our options. Then we chose an equipment package (we went with the Edge package) and a monitoring plan. At $49.99 per month, the monitoring plan wasn’t cheap, but that’s the going rate for security + video + home automation these days.
In 2023, a historic rise of 8.7 percent was granted to retirees and other benefit claimants due to high inflation following the coronavirus pandemic. Social Security recipients have lost more than $1,700 in retirement benefits due to the way cost-of-living adjustments (COLA) are calculated, a financial expert has said. An emotional Mayor of Charlotte, Vi Lyles, said she heard from the White House, members of Congress and state officials offering their support. "The bravery of our officers that responded to the scene, knowing that they're going into gunfire is what I've been saying for many years, is in the face of danger. our people step up," Jennings said. Three members of the task force were pronounced deceased at the hospital, officials said Monday night.
What we do know is that the equipment and services CPI Security offers have evolved throughout the company’s existence, keeping up with the latest in technology. With that in mind, we recently tested CPI Security systems from top to bottom. We looked at everything from pricing and features to tech, customer service, installation, and more. Well, it was the classic example of “skeletons in the closet.” All right, we didn’t find skeletons, per se, but there are a few things you should know about — like limited availability, expensive equipment, and not-so-hot customer service.
So, we called in, and after going through a consultation and a credit check (yep!), we were told that the $29.99 monthly monitoring was only for their no-frills Essentials package. Still, anything under $30 per month is darn cheap in our book. After all, the industry average is closer to $40 per month for 24-7 professional monitoring. Although CPI Security has a good reputation and has won many awards, it's not the best choice for everyone. Unfortunately, they only provide services in a limited area of the US.

At 20 years, Snellgrove and Gill personally contact the employee. Swift reportedly bought the estate through an LLC from the Goldwyn family. It belonged to the legendary Hollywood producer who was part of the iconic Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film studio, and reportedly hosted old Hollywood stars such as Clark Gable and Bette Davis. When she spoke to the publication in 2013, she had a photo on display of Kanye West interrupting her at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. Under the photo she reportedly wrote, "Life is full of little interruptions."
Hit After Hit: Taylor Swift's Real Estate Portfolio Is Truly Golden - SFGATE
Hit After Hit: Taylor Swift's Real Estate Portfolio Is Truly Golden.
Who is Kanye West’s new presidential campaign buddy, Milo Yiannopoulos?
Taylor Swift may be best known for her impressive music career, though with eight homes across four states, she may be adding “real estate mogul” to her repertoire pretty soon. The 33-year-old superstar—who recently completed the first U.S. leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour—is worth an estimated $570 million, according to Forbes, $150 million of which she has invested in real estate. Her first NYC real estate purchase was made in 2014, buying two adjacent penthouses in a Tribeca building for $19.95 million. Do they hold back, like at Harvard, where there were dramatic videos of students literally running into Harvard yard with tents. And so Columbia, really, I think, at the end of the day, may have kicked off some of this.
Taylor Swift's former Cornelia Street townhouse is located in the West Village area of Manhattan in New York City.
The 5,148-square-foot townhouse is chock full of amenities on the lower level, including a home theater, gym, spa and bar — which is perfect for hosting her squad on those famous girls’ nights. For the majority of 2014, Taylor basically treated the sidewalk in front of her Tribeca apartment as a runway, showing off her #OOTD on the regular. But Taylor has of course gone through plenty of New York ~eras~, which means some of the places she’s frequented might have bittersweet memories.

And set up an encampment in the middle of campus, no matter what the rules say. And this is not representative of the vast majority of the protesters in the encampment, who mostly had been peaceful. They would later hold a Seder, actually, with some of the pro-Palestinian Jewish protesters in their ranks.
The home also features five luxurious bathrooms and an additional two half-baths.
She is not creating standalone albums but, rather, a musical franchise. "Drive right in, open a side door, and walk right into the guest suite on the first floor," the listing reads. Curbed previously reported that Swift rented the three-story property for about $39,500 a month while one of her three Tribeca apartments was undergoing renovations. In total, Swift's former Cornelia Street townhouse features five full bathrooms and two half baths.

We’ve seen them in our politics in all kinds of interesting ways. The problem with that is that, over the weekend, a series of images start to emerge from on campus and just off of it of some really troubling anti-Semitic episodes. In one case, a guy holds up a poster in the middle of campus and points it towards a group of Jewish students who are counter protesting. And for those students who maybe couldn’t go back to — into campus, now all of their peers, who were supporters or are in solidarity, are — in some sense, it’s further emboldened.
Inside Taylor Swift’s New York, From Via Carota to Cornelia Street
Looks like Taylor Swift has a new blank space to play with when it comes to Manhattan real estate. The superstar singer just bought the property next door to her current residence in the Tribeca neighborhood for a whopping $18 million. “Cornelia Street,” a.k.a. the ninth song off her 2019 album Lover. The singer lived in the 4-bed, 7-bath townhouse for a brief time in 2016 and 2017, according to People, and it’s rumored to be where her long-term romance with Joe began. In the song, Taylor references spending time with her then-boyfriend sitting on the roof and “barefoot in the kitchen,” like scenes out of the cutest rom-com you’ve ever seen.
Built in 1870 as a carriage house, it was later transformed into a luxurious 5,500 sq ft, single-family home with a drive-in garage perfect for celebrities looking to enter and exit while avoiding the prying eyes of the paparazzi. Click here to get the latest Victorian property market news delivered direct to your inbox. And it isn’t just her beautiful home that keeps Swift coming back to New York City for more. She also loves the local restaurant and night-life scene and has been spotted at some of her favourite spots over the past few months.
Greek Revival Estate, Nashville
Behind the indoor pool, you'll find a lounge area with another fireplace and an outdoor patio. Also located on the bottom floor is a gallery space, gym, and garden. The 11-time Grammy-winner rented the New York City home in 2016 while renovating her Tribeca townhouse. Her song “Cornelia Street,” from the 2019 album Lover, details memories from her time inhabiting the space and the beginnings of her relationship with her current partner, actor Joe Alwyn.
On one hand, it’s reasonable for non-Swifties to assume that the artist, working with her longtime collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner, has unintentionally rehashed some of her old work. On the other, it’s kind of crazy to think that Swift is capable of doing anything without intentionality. Assuming the callbacks in “So Long, London” are deliberate, they rather beautifully bookend the beginning and ending of Swift’s six-year relationship with the actor Joe Alwyn. Most musicians—and artists more generally—can only dream of their fan base picking up on such subtleties.
Turner has reportedly been seen out and about in the neighborhood looking “unbothered and incredible,” Cosmopolitan comments. Of course, we would too if we were living in this luxe, prime-location unit. The mansion used to belong to Hollywood film producer Samuel Goldwyn until Swift bought the home in 2015.
“The Tortured Poets Department,” or “T.T.P.D.,” is nothing short of a Rorschach test. The tepid music reviews often miss the fact that “music” is something that Swift stopped selling long ago. Instead, she has spent two decades building the foundation of a fan universe, filled with complex, in-sequence narratives that have been contextualized through multiple perspectives across eleven blockbuster installments.
Game of Thrones star Turner and her kids even sought reprieve at the songwriter’s downtown Manhattan manse during her divorce from Joe Jonas. The decor creates an almost baroque minimalist atmosphere that looks cozy and inviting while also appearing serious and edgy — an apparent homage to her personality. While the pop star has historically been quite private about her personal life, she has shared glimpses of the interiors of her luxurious Big Apple abode. The top two floors were combined together to create one spanning 770 sqm duplex. She then expanded along the cobblestone block by snapping up three units in the building next door for just under $10 million each, according to Page Six.
The combined penthouses comprise ten bedrooms and ten bathrooms, and previously belonged to Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. And if that wasn't enough of a clear indicator that Taylor Swift is working her way toward turning the tony downtown area into "Taybeca" as quickly as possible, she also owns a townhouse right down the block. Fully renovated from top to bottom, the 5148-square-foot townhouse manages to encompass all the amenities one could dream of in a Manhattan home. On the lower level, a theater, gym, spa steam bath, and bar provide as many options as a luxury gym membership, without the sweaty locker rooms. Head up the stainless steel stairs to the first floor, where a nanny/guest suite has its own entrance, while the Boffi kitchen is furnished with Miele & Gaggenau appliances and limestone heated floors, as well as Italian cabinetry. The great room is a spacious and comfortable spot to hang out by the fireplace, with a large skylight allowing plenty of light to stream in.

As part of Phase 1, exterior finishes were meticulously recreated, structural and seismic work was completed, and building systems were improved.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene vows to force a vote next week on ousting House Speaker Mike Johnson
Johnson has been unable to command his razor-thin majority to work together on party priorities and has been forced him into the arms of Democrats for the votes needed to approve most big bills — and now, to keep his job. ” said Massie, before a poster-photo of Jeffries handing Johnson the gavel when the Republican first became speaker last fall. The standoff with Greene, one of Trump’s most enthusiastic supporters, risks throwing Republican control of the House into a fresh round of chaos as rank-and-file lawmakers will have to choose between ousting Johnson (R-La.) as speaker or joining with Democrats to keep him on the job. Los Angeles Police Department issued a citywide tactical alert due to a protest on USC's campus, urging people to avoid the area.
About Monroe, MI
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Ade Adelekan said police don't believe there was a threat to the wider community. "I cannot even begin to imagine how those affected must be feeling," he said outside the homes in east London where the attack happened. "We do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the wider community. We are not looking for more suspects," police said. Johnson’s public opponents are few, at this point, and less than the eight that it took to oust now-former Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-Bakersfield) last fall in the first ever removal of sitting speaker from the powerful office that is second in the line of succession to the president. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is at risk of being ousted by his own party, as happened to Kevin McCarthy five months ago. A tactical alert allows LAPD to keep officers on past their shifts and to move officers between divisions if they need extra staffing in one area of the city.

These protests, we understand they're important, but they do need to be peaceful," he said. LONDON -- A man wielding a sword attacked members of the public and police officers in a northeast London suburb Tuesday, killing a 14-year-old boy and injuring four other people, British authorities said. New residents should be prepared for the Midwest's distinct seasons, experiencing hot summers and cold winters, with all the outdoor possibilities each season offers. Moreover, newcomers will find that Monroe's history is not just a backdrop but a living part of the community, with historical sites and museums dedicated to preserving and sharing the area's past. The River Raisin National Battlefield Park is a notable destination for those interested in learning more about the area's involvement in the War of 1812. The economy in Monroe is varied, with manufacturing, healthcare, education, and retail playing significant roles. Key employers include the Monroe Power Plant, La-Z-Boy Incorporated, and Mercy Health.
The area also witnessed significant historical events, including the Battle of Frenchtown during the War of 1812. "This must have been a terrifying incident for those concerned. I know the wider community will be feeling shock and alarm," said Deputy Assistant Commissioner Ade Adelekan. "People will want to know what has happened and will we provide more information as soon as we can." Other Republican leaders, including Trump’s hand-picked head of the Republican National Committee, Michael Whatley, have urged House Republicans to hold off the removal effort before the fall election that will determine which party controls the White House and Congress. Greene and Massie said they were giving their colleagues the weekend to weigh their options before calling for the vote on her motion to vacate next week.

Depending on age, breed, and individual needs, some dogs can't hold their bladder for long periods. Avoid using puppy pads, which can confuse the dog about the appropriate place to eliminate. If the dog has developed bad habits, retraining with patience and understanding can reshape the behavior. Your veterinarian will most likely want to run a urine test to check for obvious issues, like a UTI or urine crystals.
Assess the marking behavior
No matter how well trained, dogs’ bladders have their limits, and going beyond those limits can lead to inappropriate urination. Always make sure it’s large enough that your puppy has space to stand, turn around, and lie down. But use caution, if the crate is too large, it will allow your puppy to pee in one spot and lay in another, defeating the purpose of crate training. And of course, never leave your puppy unattended for hours on end. Belly bands prevent your dog from marking on your possessions or surfaces but do not address the root causes of marking. Here is one real-life example of how one adopter worked through territorial marking with their newly adopted dog, Max.
Here’s the Potty Training Game Plan You’ve Been Waiting Foropens in a new tab
Whether you have a puppy who has just been toilet trained, a young adult or a more senior dog dealing with incontinence, there are many reasons your pup may have started piddling where they shouldn’t. Pee pads and artificial grass can be useful for housetraining puppies or dogs with limited outdoor access. However, it’s important to gradually transition your dog to going outside to pee to prevent them from becoming reliant on indoor bathroom spots. Consistency is crucial when it comes to stopping your dog from peeing inside.
House Trained Dog Has Started Peeing Inside
Other major weather changes, like extreme heat or cold, can also make your dog not want to go outside to potty. Even a sunny but very windy day can cause hesitation to want to go out to pee. Because of this joint pain, it can be difficult for a dog to get up quickly enough to make it outside to go potty. This joint pain can be so severe that when your dog tries to stand up, they know it will cause them pain, so instead they urinate right where they’re sitting or lying down. Your dog may have just one urinary accident when feeling anxious or fearful, or they may have several accidents that occur over a few days. You can help your dog by slowly introducing them to other people or situations where this may happen, or limiting these fearful interactions when possible.

A dog with Cushing's disease needed a home. Would someone adopt her?.
Read on for five tips about how to stop a dog from marking inside your home. Dogs are less likely to pee in areas in which they spend time, so keep your dog in just one or two rooms for a while. Spending time in those areas will increase the likelihood they won’t want to pee in them. But don’t isolate them; choose the rooms that you also spend the most time in.
– Yes, anxiety or stress can contribute to unwanted behaviors, such as peeing in the house. It’s important to create a calm and secure environment for your dog, provide mental stimulation, and address any underlying issues that may be causing stress or anxiety. [ad_1]Having a dog is a wonderful experience, but dealing with the occasional accident in the house can be frustrating.
“Happy peeing” generally occurs when your dog becomes overstimulated with their surroundings. Any dog who is feeling anxious or fearful may have urinary accidents. For some dogs, anxiety may be related to a specific situation, like hearing loud fireworks or dealing with new visitors (whether they are animals or humans). Even for adult dogs, being verbally reprimanded for “bad” behavior can elicit an anxiety/fear response. “Marking” an object in the home is common, especially with male dogs who haven’t been neutered.
If you think there is a behavioral cause, you can try to increase the number of times your dog goes outside to potty or put down potty pads in the house (especially for senior dogs). You will also need to address the underlying cause to see how you can relieve your dog’s anxiety. Ellis says your veterinarian can determine if it’s an age issue, behavior problem or a medical condition like a urinary tract infection. Any sudden accidents out of character, more frequent urination and whimpering when urinating are all warning signs. Accidents in the house can be a sign of a medical issue in older dogs, such as urinary incontinence, arthritis, or cognitive dysfunction.
Be patient with your dog and do not punish them in any way (yelling, scolding, confining to a crate, hitting, rubbing their nose in the pee, etc.). Even if they are the only dog in the house, and they are otherwise happy-go-lucky, they may display submissive urination when you pet them or ask them to sit, lie down, etc. An adult dog may urinate after being verbally reprimanded, which can also be a sign of submissive behavior. With these different diseases, the urinary accidents can happen suddenly or gradually worsen over a period of time. Along with urinary accidents, your dog may also have other symptoms, such as increased thirst, decreased appetite, lethargy, gastrointestinal issues (diarrhea and/or vomiting), or skin problems.
With advancements in technology, pet owners now have access to a wide range of tools and devices to help train their dogs effectively. From remote training collars to automated pet doors, technology is playing a significant role in shaping the way pet owners address behavioral issues like urinating in the house. If your dog is a young puppy and puppy training is taking longer than you expected, it is unlikely to be a sign of illness.
Dogs peeing in unwanted spots, whether it’s in the house or on top of a flower garden in the backyard, can be stressful for pet owners. But with some work and patience, you can address the problem and help prevent future incidents. If your dog peeing indoors is rooted in behavior, such as anxiety or territorial marking, it’s much better to address the root cause. This is listed just below “take your dog to the vet” for a very good reason.
Greet your dog calmly and guide them to an appropriate place to pee if needed. Identifying triggers that cause this behavior, such as loud noises or separation, is crucial. At Paw.com, we believe in treating our pets with the love and respect they deserve. We offer solutions that address these challenges and blend seamlessly with your home decor.

The number one rule when potty training your dog is not to punish them if they have an accident or urinate inside. They do not understand what they’ve done wrong and shouting at them or punishing them will only make things worse. Instead focus on praising and rewarding them when they urinate outside instead. If your dog is peeing in the house ask yourself if anything has changed for them. Have you moved anything around in the house or changed their routine?
Are there products that can help stop urination in the house?
Some dogs with anxiety also respond well to calming CBD oil or treats. While we provide information resources and canine education, the content here is not a substitute for veterinary guidance. Most of the time, getting their attention will be enough to stop them from finishing. To eliminate as much of the odor as possible, it is best to use a commercially available product that contain enzymes to degrade the urine or feces.
Citrus Scents: Homemade Deterrent Solutions for Dog Urine
Dogs may go outdoors and forget to eliminate, only to eliminate shortly after they re-enter the house. You may be able to create a safe, comfortable, easily cleaned confinement area with piddle pads or washable matting. Belly bands are commercially available and, though not typically considered to be an effective behavior treatment, they are useful for protecting valuable property that could be damaged by urine. Most dogs continue to assume the marking posture even with the band attached. Thus, even if your dog is wearing a band, it is still important to supervise and interrupt your dog when he postures to mark. If you do use a belly band, check at least twice daily to be sure it is clean and dry, or your dog will be uncomfortable and could develop a serious skin infection.
Ending Indoor Peeing: A Comprehensive Guide to Training and Solutions
By using positive reinforcement, consistency, and patience, you can help your dog learn new behaviors and establish a designated bathroom area for them to relieve themselves. – Older dogs may experience incontinence or other health issues that can lead to accidents in the house. It’s important to consult with your veterinarian to rule out any medical problems and discuss appropriate management strategies.
Should I Take My Dog to the Veterinarian?
What matters most is removing the odor that acts like a neon sign flashing the words “pee here! ” Household cleaners may smell fresh and clean to humans — but not to dogs. Many contain ammonia, and ammonia gives off an odor that attracts dogs as if it were urine. Use an enzymatic cleaner designed to chemically neutralize the urine instead.
“Why Is My Adult Dog Peeing In The House?”
It may be possible to identify the cause of the peeing and make minor changes in your dog’s routine or environment that make accidents much less likely to happen. A few tweaks in your dog’s routine can set him up for success if you are trying to break him of the habit of peeing in the house. If your dog consistently has accidents in the same place, you may be able to change the meaning of that location by placing his food and water there. Avoid using puppy pads since they can sometimes lead to confusion and teach him that he is allowed to pee in the house.
Is It Urine Marking or Submissive Urination?
A dog marking or peeing in the house can happen for a variety of reasons. One way that dogs communicate is through their urine, so they can mark for territorial reasons, as a response to stress or anxiety, or because of hormonal influences in intact males. We see this behavior most often when a dog enters a new environment, a new dog enters the home, or there is a big life change in the home. There are many medical conditions that can contribute to dogs peeing in the house. Diabetes is a common one where the dog drinks so much he cannot hold it in as he used to and a urinary tract infection is another common issue. Submissive urination, on the other hand, is a response to feeling intimidated and is often seen with submissive body language such as avoiding eye contact, lowered ears, or exposing the belly.
These experts can assess your dog’s behavior, develop a customized training plan, and provide guidance on how to address the issue effectively. A dog peeing or pooping indoors is most common in puppies that have not yet been fully toilet trained, but it can occur with adult dogs, even those that have successfully been toilet trained in the past. Be patient, don’t yell or shout at your dog, and eliminate any possible causes such as illness, anxiety, and stress. If your dog’s house soiling persists, and she has been given a clean bill of health by your veterinarian, then it is best to consult with a veterinary behaviorist for a behavioral assessment. Behavioral conditions that cause fear, anxiety, or frustration may contribute to house soiling.
Stop Your Dog’s Territorial Marking Inside
Take notes about your dog’s behavior and when they do certain things — eating, sleeping, drinking water and going potty. “This allows you to track how long they are holding it and help get you both on a routine to success,” Ellis says. Getting your dog to pee outside may be as simple as adjusting their potty schedule to fit their daily rhythm. If you own a dog, then you know the frustration of walking into a room and finding a puddle of urine or giant spot on the carpet.
You will need to show the puppy where to go outside and offer frequent bathroom breaks. Yes, you can train your dog to use a litter box or pee pad indoors, especially if you live in a high-rise apartment or have limited outdoor space. Introduce the litter box or pee pad gradually, use positive reinforcement, and provide consistent opportunities for your dog to use the designated potty area. Punishing your dog for peeing in the house is not recommended, as it can create fear, anxiety, and confusion. Instead of punishment, focus on positive reinforcement, reward good behavior, and redirect your dog’s attention to appropriate potty areas. If your neutered dog is still marking after you have tried the above suggestions, the marking could be due to underlying anxiety.
Positive reinforcement is key when it comes to training your dog to stop peeing inside. Rewarding your dog with treats, praise, and affection when they go to the bathroom outside will help reinforce good behavior and encourage them to continue doing so. These urinary issues often occur with no other underlying medical issue present.
Issues like marking can be exacerbated by a lack of training and discipline; pets need guidance to help them navigate the human world. Lack of training is the number one reason dogs end up in shelters. You could also try a local trainer who uses positive, humane training methods.
For example, if your dog is frightened of certain noises, she may prefer to eliminate in a place where she will not encounter that trigger. Meanwhile, you may be able to create a sheltered outside bathroom area or train her to use an indoor potty station. Consistency and patience are key factors in successfully training your dog to stop peeing in the house.
Age-related cognitive changes cannot be reversed, your veterinarian can prescribe treatments to support brain health. Instead of allowing your dog to immediately approach a person, stand quietly a few steps away for a few minutes. Then, give the new person a treat and let your dog approach them for some treats. If your dog knows how to sit, the person can ask for a sit but only if your dog is calm and focused on the food. After a few repetitions, your dog will begin to approach people and sit quietly, waiting for a treat.
If this is the issue, more frequent trips outside may stop an old dog from peeing in the house. Other potential behavioral conditions that can lead to house soiling include distress related to being left alone and frustration related to potential intruders (territorial behavior). You can then determine the underlying reason for the behavior based on your dog’s posture when she eliminates.
If you don’t completely get rid of the pee smell, your pup might keep marking their territory in the same spot. Soak the area with a pet urine enzyme cleaner and let it fully dry. If your home is humid or has wall-to-wall carpeting or upholstery, you can use a hair dryer to speed up the process after one day. If there is a removable carpet in that area (doormats are popular pee spots), put it outside.
